Who Never Stopped.

Queen & Briggs Consulting is named after two extraordinary women — my grandmothers, Queen Miles Hicks and Ruth Briggs Wilks. Before I tell you a single thing about credentials, I want to tell you where I come from. Because everything I've ever built traces back to them.

People ask why I maintain the intensity that produced results at Disney scale. The answer is simple: I come from women who had to. Their sacrifice meant I had no excuse for mediocrity. Their legacy means when you work with Queen & Briggs, you inherit the spirit of two women who transformed everything with limited resources and impossible obstacles.

Queen Miles Hicks
Paternal Grandmother

A sharecropper who raised 14 children. When her kids had to work the farm instead of attending school, Queen poured everything into ensuring the next generation would have opportunities she never did. Her sacrifice made mediocrity unacceptable. It still does.

Ruth Briggs Wilks
Maternal Grandmother

Started as a maid with an 8th-grade education. Built a beauty salon, a barber shop, real estate investments. Widowed in 1963 — she kept building. Became the bank for Black families in Emporia, VA when real banks wouldn't serve them. Worked until she was 88.
