Built Ruthless.
Delivering Transformation.

Queen & Briggs Consulting exists because two extraordinary women showed me what transformation really looks like — built not with resources, but with discipline, determination, and refusal to stop. Everything I've built since is an attempt to honor what they gave me.

Built for Enterprise
Reality.

Queen & Briggs Consulting partners with enterprise CIOs and technology leaders to restore confidence in execution and deliver results when complexity, scale, and risk collide.

We specialize in enterprise portfolio execution, large-scale technology transformation, program recovery, and governance redesign — particularly in environments where delivery is complex, highly visible, or already under pressure.

Our work is executive-led and grounded in real operational experience. We don't advise from the sidelines. We embed within leadership teams to stabilize delivery, align execution to strategy, and restore authority over enterprise portfolios.

Strategy has no value without execution.

CIOs engage Queen & Briggs when:
  • Portfolios lack clarity or credible prioritization
  • Delivery commitments exceed organizational capacity
  • Governance exists on paper but not in practice
  • Transformations stall despite strong teams and funding

We help leaders cut through noise, reset accountability, and create operating discipline that scales across the enterprise.

Queen. Briggs.
The Standard.

Queen & Briggs was founded on a simple belief: Execution is a leadership responsibility — not a reporting function.

Named in honor of two women whose grit, discipline, and resolve shaped generations, our firm brings that same mindset into every engagement. We do the hard work others avoid. We surface truth early. And we focus relentlessly on outcomes.

No theater. No over-engineering. No false confidence.
Just clarity, alignment, and delivery.

Queen Miles Hicks
Paternal Grandmother

Born in 1920s North Carolina as the daughter of sharecroppers, Queen Matilda Miles was one of fifteen children. She later married Joe Hicks Sr., raised fourteen children, maintained a household, and worked multiple jobs out of sheer determination.

Queen also raised the majority of her grandchildren, everyone except four.

She never stopped working and passed away in 1997.

Because of Queen's sacrifice and relentless work ethic, her children and grandchildren went on to become retired senior military leaders, head librarians, nurses, pastors, a mathematician, florists, a dentist, a technology director, public servants, software engineers, teachers, warehouse leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Queen Matilda Miles built a foundation of discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance that continues across generations.

Her life is a reminder that strength, responsibility, and relentless work can transform entire families.

"Whatever you do, do it right. If you're going to do it at all, do it right. There's no in between."
Ruth Briggs Wilks
Maternal Grandmother

Born in 1917 in Sussex County, Virginia, Ruth Briggs Wilks was one of twelve children. Her father was a descendant of the Nottoway Indians, and her mother descended from freed Black store owners during the Civil War era.

Ruth completed only the eighth grade and married in 1935. She began her career as a maid and seamstress, but she and her husband soon became entrepreneurs — building a beauty salon, barber shop, and gasoline trucking business before moving into real estate investing in the 1950s in the Deep South.

Widowed in 1963, Ruth continued building. When local banks refused to serve Black families in Emporia, Virginia, she became the community's informal bank — helping families finance homes, businesses, and opportunities they otherwise could not access.

Ruth was the nucleus of our family, quietly financing college educations, home purchases, and countless needs across generations. She also provided business services to a local funeral home and continued managing her properties and finances well into her later years.

From my grandmother, I learned everything — from changing a tire to settling accounts and collecting rent from tenants.

She worked until she was 88 and passed away in 2009. Today, Ruth's descendants include an academic dean, a nurse, a business owner, and a technology director.

Ruth Briggs Wilks embodied foundational excellence, resilience, and grit. She did the work others wouldn't, built what others said couldn't be built, and left generations stronger because of it.

That legacy is the spirit behind Queen & Briggs. She was Built Ruthless.

"I learned everything from my Grandmom Ruth. The delivery excellence. The drive. The never giving up. That's 100% her."

Enterprise-Scale Experience That Matters

I bring more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise technology delivery inside Fortune 500 organizations, including IBM, Nielsen, and The Walt Disney Company — operating at a scale where execution failures carry real financial, operational, and reputational consequences.

During eight years in Disney Experiences Technology (DXT), I led large-scale delivery and modernization across guest-facing and operational platforms, including payments, product lifecycle management, portfolio tooling, and execution processes supporting complex, consumer-facing businesses.

I later moved into Enterprise Technology & Data (ETD) as Director of Technology PMO, governing a $762M annual technology portfolio spanning 200+ programs across security and identity, cloud, infrastructure, applications, and digital platforms. I built and scaled an enterprise PMO organization of 80+ and established the governance, operating models, and analytics executives relied on for investment, risk, and performance decisions.

Earlier at Nielsen, I served as Director of Global Data Collection Platforms with responsibility for mission-critical consumer data and analytics platforms, and led nationally and globally visible transformations — including the U.S. Analog-to-Digital Television Transition and the Global Media Systems Modernization Program, a $43M initiative that retired 39 legacy platforms and launched Nielsen's first three-screen ratings data engine.

Across roles, I led delivery transformations that increased predictability by over 1,000%, improved velocity by 115%, and reduced production defects by 44%, partnering closely with C-suite and SVP leaders to translate strategy into execution.

I founded Queen & Briggs Consulting to bring this level of execution discipline and leadership judgment to organizations that need it — without requiring a full executive build-out. The name Queen & Briggs is both a tribute and a standard: resilience, accountability, and follow-through when results matter.
